Beekeeping Conference · October 17–18, 2026 · Anchorage, Alaska
The Alaska Beekeeping Society gathers each autumn in Anchorage for its annual membership meeting, bringing together hobbyist and commercial beekeepers from across the state. Sessions cover overwintering strategies for Alaska's extreme cold, the unique foraging potential of fireweed and white clover in the Interior, and techniques for extending the short northern season. Local honey producers display varietal honeys—fireweed, dandelion, and borage—while vendors offer cold-climate beekeeping equipment. The meeting includes a honey tasting, raffle, and election of society officers.
