Honey Festival · September 19–20, 2026 · Clarksville, Tennessee
The Pennyroyal region of Tennessee and Kentucky — named for the pennyroyal mint herb once abundant on its rolling limestone plains — is one of the mid-South's most productive honey territories, where clover pastures, tobacco fields, and a mosaic of hardwood ridge-and-valley woodlands support exceptional wildflower and tulip poplar honey flows. Clarksville, Tennessee's second-largest city and the seat of Montgomery County, hosts this September celebration at Liberty Park along the Red River, featuring a Tennessee Honey Competition, live colony demonstrations by the Clarksville-Montgomery County Beekeepers Association, culinary pairings of Pennyroyal honey with Tennessee country ham and cornbread, and educational workshops on limestone-country apiculture and the unique floral calendar of the Highland Rim.
