Farmington Four Corners Honey & San Juan Basin Heritage Festival 2030

Honey Festival · August 9–10, 2030 · Farmington, New Mexico

Farmington — New Mexico's largest city in the Four Corners region on the confluence of the San Juan, Animas, and La Plata rivers in San Juan County — sits at the high-desert margin between the Colorado Plateau and the San Juan Basin, where beekeepers harvest distinctive chamisa (rabbitbrush), desert willow, piñon, cliffrose, and sagebrush honey from the surrounding mesas and canyon country. This late-summer festival on Riverside Park celebrates the Four Corners beekeeping tradition with honey tastings, Navajo and Diné beekeeping presentations, guided tours of riparian pollinator corridors along the San Juan River, and connections to the Farmington Museum natural history collections. The event draws producers from the Shiprock area, the Bisti/De-Na-Zin Wilderness borderlands, and the high mesas above Aztec and Bloomfield whose hives forage across some of the most botanically diverse high-desert terrain in the American Southwest.
