Flint Hills Honey & Prairie Wildflower Festival

Honey Festival · July 17–18, 2027 · Manhattan, Kansas

The Kansas Honey Producers Association celebrates the rich biodiversity of the Flint Hills tallgrass prairie with this summer festival in Manhattan, known as the Little Apple. The Flint Hills region produces some of the country's finest clover and native wildflower honeys, and local producers gather to showcase pure Kansas varietal honeys including sweet white clover, sunflower, goldenrod, and native prairie wildflower blends. Festival highlights include live honey extraction demonstrations, a prairie wildflower and pollinator garden tour, apiary open houses at nearby farms, and a honey cook-off competition. Kansas State University Extension apiculturists give talks on supporting native pollinators alongside managed honey bee colonies.
