The Florida State Beekeepers Association's annual Winter Short Course is the premier educational event for Florida beekeepers, drawing participants from across the Sunshine State and neighboring states. Florida's unique subtropical climate produces extraordinary varietal honeys including orange blossom, saw palmetto, gallberry, tupelo, mangrove, and Brazilian pepper. The two-day intensive features beginner and advanced tracks, Africanized honey bee management seminars, Florida queen-rearing techniques, and a honey show showcasing the state's remarkable floral diversity from the Panhandle to the Keys.
