Lubbock West Texas Honey & Agri-Heritage Fair

Honey Fair · September 19–20, 2026 · Lubbock, Texas

West Texas produces some of the country's most distinctive honey, drawing from the vast cotton and mesquite landscapes of the South Plains and the caliche arroyos and playa lakes of the Llano Estacado. Lubbock — the Hub City of the Plains and home to Texas Tech University — hosts this late-summer celebration of the Panhandle's honey heritage, featuring wildflower and mesquite honey tastings, cotton-blossom single-origin variety demonstrations, an amateur beekeeper competition open to South Plains producers, and educational workshops from Texas A&M AgriLife Extension on dryland beekeeping and semi-arid pollinator habitat management. Live music, Texas brisket with local honey glazes, and beeswax candle-making round out the family-friendly fair on the Texas Tech campus lawn.
