This September festival at Mohegan Park celebrates New London County's remarkable honey heritage through producers from across the Quinebaug-Shetucket watershed, competitive honey shows featuring Connecticut's prized basswood, black locust, and mountain laurel mono-varietals alongside Quiet Corner wildflower blends, guided tastings pairing local honey with Thames River valley artisan cheeses and ciders, educational programs on the role of beekeeping in preserving the Quiet Corner's working landscape, and demonstrations connecting the botanical diversity of the National Heritage Corridor with the distinctive character of eastern Connecticut's celebrated local honeys.
