Springfield Ozark Honey & Native Wildflower Expo 2027

Honey Expo · June 5–6, 2027 · Springfield, Missouri

Springfield — Missouri's Queen City of the Ozarks, where the White River watershed meets the Springfield Plateau's cedar glades and mixed hardwood forests — hosts this early-summer exposition celebrating the Ozarks' extraordinary diversity of native wildflower and hardwood honey varietals. Southwest Missouri sits at the heart of the Ozark Plateau's honey-producing heartland, where black locust, basswood, tulip poplar, and wild bergamot bloom in rapid succession through spring and early summer, followed by sumac, ironweed, goldenrod, and native prairie wildflowers through late season. The expo features a Missouri Ozarks honey varietal showcase with black locust, basswood, tallow tree, and wildflower categories, native plant and pollinator habitat garden tours in partnership with Missouri State University's biology department, Ozark mead producers and honey-fermentation workshops, artisan honey soap, candle, and beeswax product market, and educational sessions from Missouri State Beekeepers Association on Ozark-adapted queen-rearing and treatment-free beekeeping approaches.
