Williams Grand Canyon Gateway Honey & Ponderosa Festival 2031

Honey Festival · July 12–13, 2031 · Williams, Arizona

Williams — the Coconino County city on old Route 66 that serves as the southern gateway to Grand Canyon National Park — sits at 6,762 feet in the world's largest ponderosa pine forest, where beekeepers harvest distinctive high-elevation ponderosa meadow wildflower, locoweed, clover, and mountain wildflower honey from apiaries nestled among the Kaibab Plateau's remarkable conifer forest ecosystem. This July festival at Williams City Park celebrates Coconino County's beekeeping heritage at the unique intersection of the Colorado Plateau, ponderosa pine biome, and Route 66 history, featuring honey from producers across the Coconino and Yavapai highland regions, guided nature walks through the surrounding ponderosa pine forest floor wildflower communities, educational programs on the ecological importance of pollinators in ponderosa pine ecosystems, and connections to the Grand Canyon's extraordinary biodiversity and its relationship to the surrounding forest honeybee populations.
