Set in the beautiful foothills of the Appalachians at Oak Mountain State Park, the Alabama Honey Festival celebrates the rich beekeeping heritage of the Heart of Dixie. Features live hive demonstrations, Alabama honey competition with tulip poplar, sourwood, and wildflower categories, kids beekeeping corner, local artisan honey vendors, mead tastings, and guided pollinator garden walks. Alabama beekeepers have long produced exceptional tulip poplar and black locust varietal honeys.
