Fireweed — Alaska's unofficial state flower — produces a light, silky honey prized worldwide for its delicate floral flavor. Festival features local beekeeper meet-and-greet, fireweed honey tastings, wildcraft honey cocktail demos, beehive observation displays, and showcases of Alaskan-made honey products from the Kenai Peninsula, Matanuska Valley, and Fairbanks regions.
