West Virginia University's beautiful Morgantown campus anchors this Appalachian honey and heritage festival celebrating the Mountain State's exceptional sourwood, black locust, and tulip poplar honey varietals from high-elevation apiaries across the Allegheny Mountains. The WVU Extension Apiculture program partners with the West Virginia Beekeepers Association to present scientific research on Appalachian bee health, live hive demonstrations, and hands-on extraction workshops. Local artisans showcase beeswax crafts and honey-infused Appalachian traditional foods.
