Ocean Springs Mississippi Honey & Coastal Gulf Tasting 2027

Honey Tasting · October 8–9, 2027 · Ocean Springs, Mississippi

Ocean Springs — the artistic jewel of Jackson County on Mississippi's Gulf Coast, celebrated as the home of Walter Anderson and the Mississippi Sound's finest artisan community — hosts this autumn honey tasting event that pairs the Gulf Coast's distinctive floral-coastal honey character with freshly harvested Gulf seafood and local artisan products. Mississippi's Gulf Coast beekeepers work a uniquely productive floral landscape: tallow tree (Chinese tallow) honey — creamy, mild, and produced in massive coastal bloom events each spring — anchors a Gulf Coast honey profile completed by gallberry, saw palmetto, and the wetland wildflowers of the Pascagoula River and Davis Bayou marshes. The tasting event features six-flight Mississippi coastal honey tasting bars, honey-and-oyster pairing dinners celebrating Mississippi's tidal bounty, artisan demonstrations by beekeepers from the seven-county Gulf Coast region, and guided walking tours of the Walter Anderson Museum grounds designed to showcase the pollinator artwork of Mississippi's most celebrated naturalist.
