The Ohio State Beekeepers Association hosts its annual spring field day at the OARDC (Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center) campus in Wooster. Attendees tour active research apiaries, observe queen rearing demonstrations, and participate in hands-on hive inspections led by master beekeepers. Afternoon sessions cover spring management, swarm prevention, and Varroa monitoring protocols. Honey tasting table features Ohio varietal honeys: basswood, black locust, buckwheat, and mixed wildflower. Open to members and non-members — pre-registration recommended.
