Oklahoma's Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve in the Osage Hills hosts this autumn celebration of the state's deep-rooted beekeeping heritage. Oklahoma beekeepers harvest honey from tallgrass wildflowers, sumac, horsemint, and eastern red cedar — varieties rarely found elsewhere. Features Oklahoma Honey Producers Association honey competition, prairie trail bee walks, Native American honey and plant knowledge presentations, heritage craft demonstrations, and wildflower honey varietal tasting.
