This September festival at Neahwa Park celebrates Oneonta's identity as the gateway to the Catskills and the upper Susquehanna's beekeeping heritage, featuring producers from across the Catskill Foothills corridor, competitive honey judging showcasing the region's distinctive basswood and apple blossom varietals, guided educational hikes through Hartwick Pines and the Susquehanna watershed wildflower landscape, demonstrations on extracting and bottling artisan honey from New York's diverse upland nectar flows, and culinary programs pairing Catskill Foothills honey with the region's outstanding cider, farmstead cheese, and maple syrup traditions.
