The Oregon Cascade Foothills Honey & Hazelnut Harvest Festival pairs Oregon's world-famous Willamette Valley hazelnuts with the bigleaf maple, Oregon white oak, and wildflower honeys produced by beekeepers in the Cascade foothills east of Salem. Set at historic Cooley's Gardens in Silverton, the fall harvest festival features honey and hazelnut pairings, artisan mead tastings, and live demonstrations of comb honey production. The Oregon State Beekeepers Association presents its annual achievement awards, and Willamette Valley cheesemakers participate in honey-cheese pairing seminars.
