The Virginia State Beekeepers Association's annual convention at the Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center brings together beekeepers from all corners of the Commonwealth — from the Eastern Shore's coastal wildflower country to the Blue Ridge's legendary sourwood hollow. Nationally recognized speakers address colony health management, honey marketing, and sustainable apiculture in the varied climates spanning Virginia's coastal plain, Piedmont, and mountain regions. The Virginia honey show judges entries across all major Virginia varietals: sourwood, tulip poplar, apple blossom, and wildflower from the state's remarkable floral diversity.
