Wayne County's market city in the heart of Ohio's largest Amish settlement hosts this September celebration of traditional beekeeping and heritage agriculture on the Allegheny Plateau. Local beekeepers from Wayne, Holmes, and Tuscarawas counties present white clover, basswood, black locust, tulip poplar, and buckwheat honeys alongside Amish-crafted beeswax candles and artisan honey creams. The Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center's (OARDC) extension apiarists lead hive demonstrations, while neighboring Amish farms provide heritage grain baking, hand-dipped beeswax candle making, and farm-to-table honey pairings in one of Ohio's most productive agricultural regions.
