The Garden Island hosts its annual celebration of Hawaii's unique honey traditions, featuring Kauai's extraordinary tropical varietal honeys in a setting of incomparable natural beauty. Kauai beekeepers produce rare and sought-after varietals from the island's lush North Shore and Waimea Canyon landscapes: macadamia blossom honey, Christmasberry/wilelaiki honey from the misty highlands, lehua blossom honey from native ohia trees, and tropical wildflower honey from Kauai's extraordinary botanical diversity. The festival features guided apiary tours at Kauai's working honey farms, lei-making with honeyflower blossoms, Hawaiian honey cuisine demonstrations, and honey mead tasting from local island producers.
