Honey Festival · September 18–19, 2027 · Annapolis, Maryland
The Maryland Honey & Chesapeake Bay Watershed Festival celebrates the remarkable diversity of Maryland honeys produced in one of the Mid-Atlantic’s most ecologically varied states, spanning the Chesapeake Bay tidewater, Piedmont plateau, and Appalachian highlands. Hosted at the Annapolis Maritime Museum’s waterfront campus, the festival features honey tastings from Eastern Shore tupelo and gallberry honeys to Appalachian sourwood and basswood varieties. A special focus on pollinator habitat restoration along Bay tributaries connects apiculture with watershed conservation. Maryland State Beekeepers Association members lead hive demonstrations, and local chefs showcase Chesapeake honey in crab cake glazes, Old Bay honey sauces, and craft honey meads.
