This August festival at Hawthorne Park in Medford's vibrant downtown celebrates the Rogue Valley's remarkable honey diversity through producers from across Jackson and Josephine counties, competitive honey shows featuring Oregon's prized pear blossom varietal alongside meadowfoam, blackberry, and mixed wildflower classes, educational demonstrations on how Rogue Valley's unique terroir of volcanic soil, maritime air, and Mediterranean summers creates distinctive flavor profiles, guided tastings pairing local honey with Rogue Valley pears and Crater Lake area cheeses, and presentations connecting Southern Oregon's agricultural heritage with the science of modern sustainable beekeeping practice.
