Oklahoma Cross Timbers Honey & Wildflower Festival

Honey Festival · May 1–2, 2027 · Chickasha, Oklahoma

The Oklahoma Cross Timbers Honey & Wildflower Festival celebrates the diverse honeys produced in the Cross Timbers ecoregion, the oak and blackjack savanna belt running through central Oklahoma, where bees forage on horsemint, native prairie clover, buckwheat, and post oak catkins. Held at Shannon Springs Park in Chickasha, the event features Oklahoma honey producers from across the Cross Timbers and prairie regions, with tastings, competitive honey judging, and educational displays of native pollinator plants. The Oklahoma Beekeepers Association leads workshops on tallgrass prairie floral sources, integrated pest management, and honey marketing.
