Apiary Tour · July 19–20, 2027 · Shelburne, Vermont
The Vermont Beekeepers Association organizes this self-guided farm tour weekend across Chittenden and Addison counties, opening 15+ Vermont apiaries and honey farms to the public for two summer days during peak summer nectar flow. Participants receive a passport-style tour booklet and visit farms ranging from small hobby apiaries to commercial operations producing Vermont's signature wildflower, clover, buckwheat, and apple blossom honeys. Each farm stop features hive demonstrations, honey tastings, farm-direct sales, and conversations with beekeepers about their craft. Several farms offer pairing stations with Vermont artisan cheeses, maple products, and locally-produced meads. A honey-tasting finale event at Shelburne Farms brings all tour participants together for awards and fellowship.
