The Wisconsin Honey Producers Association's annual meeting at the Monona Terrace Convention Center in Madison convenes commercial and hobbyist beekeepers from across America's Dairyland for their most comprehensive gathering of the year. Wisconsin's agricultural diversity — dairy country basswood in the northeast, cranberry bogs in the central sand counties, apple orchards along Lake Michigan, and clover-rich farmland throughout — makes it one of the Upper Midwest's most productive honey states. Sessions address Great Lakes region challenges including late spring cold snaps, honey bee pathogen management, and marketing strategies for Wisconsin's premium basswood and cranberry blossom varietal honeys.
