Sonoma Valley Honey & Wine Country Harvest Festival 2031

Honey Festival · September 6–7, 2031 · Sonoma, California

Sonoma — the Sonoma County plaza city at the heart of California's oldest wine region — occupies a valley surrounded by Mayacamas and Sonoma Mountain vineyards where beekeepers harvest exceptionally diverse eucalyptus, berry blossom, star thistle, wildflower, and vineyard cover crop honey from apiaries interspersed among the wineries, orchards, and native oak woodland of the Sonoma Valley floor. This September festival on Sonoma Plaza celebrates Sonoma County's beekeeping heritage alongside the harvest of both wine grapes and local honey, featuring honey varietal tastings paired with Sonoma Valley wines, guided apiary tours on working wine-country farms, educational demonstrations on the role of honeybees in vineyard pollination and orchard fruit set, and presentations by the Sonoma County Beekeepers Association on the challenges and opportunities of beekeeping in California's increasingly warm wine country landscape.
