Tennessee Sourwood Honey Festival 2028

Honey Festival · July 27–28, 2028 · Gatlinburg, Tennessee

Gatlinburg's annual celebration of Tennessee's most prized varietal honey draws thousands of visitors to the Great Smoky Mountains gateway each summer. Sourwood honey — pale, distinctive, and harvested only during a brief July bloom in southern Appalachian mountains — is showcased by dozens of regional beekeepers. The event features honey competition judging, live bluegrass and mountain music, artisan craft vendors, and guided tastings that compare sourwood against other Tennessee varieties including tulip poplar and wildflower.
