North Dakota's westernmost honey culture features prized sweet clover, alfalfa, canola blossom, and prairie wildflower varietals from Lewis and Clark Trail beekeepers. The festival includes honey judging, Fort Union Trading Post interpretive programming, Missouri River floodplain pollinator tours, mead sampling, and celebration of the unique forage landscape where Montana, North Dakota, and Saskatchewan converge.
