The Kansas Tallgrass Prairie Honey & Lavender Festival brings together the Flint Hills’ world-famous tallgrass prairie landscape with the region’s thriving lavender farms, creating a unique sensory celebration in the heart of America. Hosted at a scenic Flint Hills lavender farm near Emporia, the event showcases wildflower, sunflower, and lavender-infused honeys from Kansas beekeepers spanning the Smoky Hills to the Osage Plains. Visitors enjoy guided apiary tours, honey tasting flights, live music, and artisan vendor booths featuring beeswax candles and local honey products. The Kansas Honey Producers Association presents educational talks on Flint Hills pollinator habitat and honey variety identification.
