British Spring Set Rapeseed Honey

Set spring honey packed by Gwenyn Gruffydd, a honey company in Dryslwyn, Carmarthenshire, Wales. The main nectar source is oilseed rape, with smaller amounts of hawthorn, apple, cherry blossom and dandelion from the same early-spring flow. Rapeseed honey is high in glucose and crystallises quickly, so it is sold set: almost white, smooth and creamy, and firm enough to spread without dripping. The flavour is mild and plain-sweet. White streaks of 'frosting' on the jar are normal for this honey and do not change the taste. Use it on toast and crumpets, in tea, or anywhere you want sweetness without a strong honey character.
