Raw honeycomb from Gil's Honey Bees, a third-generation family apiary in the Finger Lakes region of New York. Each section is built and capped by the bees in a plastic-free wooden frame and is never heated or filtered. Buyers choose the season: summer comb, which the producer describes as light in color and mild, fall comb with darker, bolder honey from knotweed, goldenrod and asters, or sumac comb, which it describes as rich with a caramel flavor. Sections weigh 10 to 18 oz. Cut a piece for a cheese board, spread it on warm toast, or eat it straight from the frame.
